Santa isn’t always a jolly fellow spreading good vibes around the city. Sometimes police have to wrestle the chunky man to the ground to drive some senses into the poorly behaved character.
Shoppers in Melbourne, Australia, watched a man dressed up as Santa Claus being asked to exit a Bunngings, a hardware store, because his behavior was getting out of control. He didn’t oblige to the request, and the man pulled a tantrum and got aggressive that police officers had to put the situation to rest.
In a viral video, it captured the moment when the man was pinned to the ground by officers. Forget about the milk and cookies, they needed to bring out the pepper spray to keep this man from creating chaos.
According to a Victoria Police statement: “Officers were forced to escort the man off the premises but he resisted officers and assaulted them. The man fell unconscious and was taken to hospital for treatment.”
Bunnings commended its employees for dealing with the situation in a professional manner and confirmed that the man dressed as Santa is not a worker.
Witnesses believe that the man could have been in his sixties. Regardless of his age, this Santa needs to put himself on the naughty list.
