Porch pirates have gotten more and more creative over the years when it comes to stealing packages. A Sacramento homeowner was shocked that a porch pirate ended up transforming into a trash bag to steal one of his packages.
Omar Munoz was away from his home when he received a notification that a package had been delivered. When he returned home, there was no package waiting for him, which prompted him to check his security cameras.
Munoz was surprised when he watched the video to see a trash bag with feet inching its way toward the package and proceeded to “swallow” it up. A person had decided to crouch underneath the trash bag to steal his package.
“At first I was angry because my iPhone charger broke, so I was expecting my package. But later when I saw the video, I was just laughing because it was funny. They’re smart,” Munoz said.
Munoz said this was the first time he had ever had a package stolen from his front porch but he chose not to contact the police. He ended up reordering a new phone charger and said that he wasn’t too bothered over the theft.
“So, it was probably a kid just messing around. I don’t think it’s going to happen again,” Munoz said.
