Try Over 3,500 Pieces of Candy Every Month

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, this might be the perfect job for you. Canada’s Candy Funhouse is looking to hire a chief candy officer and is willing to pay thousands for the lucky candidate.

The Ontario-based company is looking for “the world’s first and only chief candy officer” with a hefty paycheck for the position. Who wouldn’t want to get paid $100,000 Canadian dollars ($78,167.70 U.S. dollars) annually to test candy all day?

According to the job posting, the position can be held remotely or based in its offices in Toronto, Canada, and Newark, New Jersey. The chief candy officer will serve as the head taste tester for the company, trying over 3,500 every month.

“Do you love all things candy and chocolate? Are you passionate about confectionary treats and exploring unreleased and existing products? If so, this is the PERFECT position for you!” according to the job description on LinkedIn.

The job comes with more responsibility than just eating 113 pieces of candy a day. The chief candy officer will also lead the company’s “FUNhouse” candy strategy, run candy board meetings and have a say in which products Candy Funhouse will inevitably carry.

The chief candy officer will also approve candy inventory and designate spotlight treats with an official stamp of approval. Applications are open to just about everyone, with eligible candidates needing to be at least five-years-old and residing in North America.

“All you need is a passion for candy, pop culture, and a sweet tooth!” the job posting reads.

As of this posting, almost 6,500 people have applied for the job via LinkedIn. The company has said that its usual response time is delayed because of the large number of applications. If you’re interested, applicants have until August 31, 2022 to apply.
