Two People Fight Over the Custody of a Duck

Navigating custody rights can bring out the ugly side of people as the attachment and fixation to the outcome tends to get people acting out on their emotional impulses.

Custody right battles are often seen in family courts; it’s a strange sight to see people budding heads on the road over care rights. Two people were spotted in the midst of a heated argument on a Poole road over the custody of a duck.

It was more than an exchange of hurtful words since the duo started talking with their fists. Passersby reported witnessing a man and woman wrestling each other over the ownership of the duck. The charms of the duck put the pair in a mad state.

Police officers were dispatched to the scene, but by the time they made it to the street, the pair left.

An anonymous woman from Bournemouth said: “They were wrestling on the floor in the middle of the road… and trying to get the duck off each other.”

She added: “It’s having a massive impact on all of us who live there because obviously some of us have got kids. Even if you don’t have kids, that’s the last thing you want to be hearing whilst you’re trying to go to sleep or just trying to go about your daily business.”

A spokesperson for Dorset Police said: “We received a report at 6:36 p.m. on Wednesday, July 5, of a disturbance involving a man and a woman in Tatnam Road in Poole. Officers attended and carried out a search of the area but those involved were not located.”

It’s always surprising when the duck is more civil than the humans.
