Come On, Put Sugar On Your Butthole

ICU medical professionals may start pulling ingredients from the kitchen to treat patients. An ICU nurse, Chenedy, released a video on Instagram stating that doctors sometimes prescribe table sugar to treat prolapsed anuses.

According to the video, “Sugar pulls out the excess fluid from the prolapsed anus, causing it to shrink. Once the swelling is down it usually pops right back in or just needs a little push!”

If you hear the term “sour patch kid” by medical professionals, it is not a random craving for the candy. It describes this sugar technique to treat the rectum extending beyond the anus.

This technique can serve your furry companions too. Vets use this hack to treat dogs, cats, and horses to reduce the prolapse.

People were surprised by this technique and wondered about its other uses. One commentator wrote, “If I pour some sugar on my belly, will it go back in?” If only weight loss was that easy. Then everyone will be adding it to their diets instead of cutting back.

Although this strategy sounds silly, it does prove to be an effective solution. This strategy is effective in treating prolapse with a success rate of approximately 50 percent and the side effects are minimal. In some cases, sugaring the rim can save people the hassle of a surgical reduction.

Why not try the sugar packets before going under the knife? Sprinkle some sugary goodness and standby for the magical transformation.
