Fusion dishes are great for those who face dilemmas over the dinner table of having to choose just one option. London residents were presented with the option of having to buy into a dish that combines two different takeaway items — fish ‘n’ chips and pizza.
In honor of National Pizza Day, the pizza chain Homeslice collaborated with the fries shop The Mayfair Chippy to combine their customer favourites into one dish.
On the 20-inch pizza bases, the dish is topped off with salt and vinegar cured cod, pea puree, crispy chips, capers and batter scraps. This unusual combination can send your taste buds tingling in ecstasy or confusion. Either way, it might be worth a shot for the foodies.
As part of the promotion, Homeslice is offering a free Mojito from the canned cocktails brand Moth with every order of fish ‘n’ chip pizza.
Even if the odd meal doesn’t satiate your appetite, a part of the proceeds is going towards a good cause. The cost of the pizza is $36, and $3 from every pizza sold will be donated to the Felix Project, a London-based food redistribution charity organized to help reduce food waste and fight hunger.
