Who knew dogs could cause so much chaos? A dog was at the center of a mysterious tire puncture case in Italy after a wave of acts of vandalism took place.
Many living in the village of Vastogirardi, a town of 600 people near Isernia, Italy, were unclear as to who the culprit was that was vandalizing their vehicles. Rumors spurred of potential fights between neighbors or even the mafia getting involved but it turned out to be something a lot less complex.
Police installed surveillance cameras after several complaints were made about someone coming around and puncturing car tires. No human suspect was found but a dog named Billy was caught biting at several cars’ tires.
While it’s unclear as to what happened to Billy’s tire-biting days, veterinarians said that the dog’s behavior could led him to be put down due to a severe case of gingivitis, which is what has been causing him to bite the tires to relieve some pain.
