Horses tend to have the strength and the speed to evade their captures but what about a miniature pony?
Police in Ontario, Canada, reported that a pair of witnesses noticed a miniature horse running loose alongside a busy highway. Not wanting anything to happen to the animal, they stepped in to corral it to safety.
The Ontario Provincial Police released more information about the incident on Twitter. They said that the mini horse had escaped from its pen and was seen running alongside Highway 401 in Oxford County, just outside of Woodstock.
The post included an image and confirmed that the animal was returned home safely. The caption read: “Not typically the horsepower we see on Highway 401 in Oxford County but this pony escaped its pen and was causing issues for commuters this morning. Thanks to these two passersby the pony was corralled and returned safely to its owner. Great job fellas!”
