Introvert Dogs Are Just as Awkward as Humans

A group of pet owners in Sweden brought their shy pups together at a dog park to see what would happen. Sofia Rosten brought her rescue dog Qila to the event. The meetup was intended to help owners of shy or calm dogs socialize with pooches that have similar personalities.

The event was set up by a dog psychologist and lasted for about an hour, with the dogs having a fun time to start the session. After a while, just like humans, the dogs began to tire out. The result was an awkward end to the day, with all the dogs standing around, unsure of how to act.

Rosen made sure to capture the funny moment of video and shared it online. Her TikTok has since received over 21 million views, 4.2 million likes and 34,000 comments. It seems like these pups aren’t alone as introverts.

“This was almost at the end of the meeting and we all thought it looked so funny so I recorded it,” Rosten said.

In the video that Rosten posted, she perfectly sums up the dogs’ visible discomfort over making any kind of eye contact with each other. “It’s like a pasture of cows,” she wrote in overlaying text in the video.

Several people got a kick out of the video and had to comment on the situation. One wrote: “This is my coffee break at IT department.”

Another person commented: “Good hang out, let’s do it again next year.”

I’m sure the group of scientists got the exact data they were looking for, with a bit of cuteness mixed in.
