Man Lists Sofa Covered in Child’s Permanent Marker Drawings

Posting on Facebook Marketplace is an easy way to make a quick buck. A father was mocked online after posting a $615 sofa on Facebook Marketplace even though it was covered in his child’s permanent marker drawings.

The cream three-seater sofa, originally from DFS, is made of leather with two reclining seats. While $615 would be a steal for something like this, the couch was covered in scribbles of thick black marker.

Each cushion seems to have its own artistic touch to it, matching the walls in the background of the photo, which was posted on Facebook Marketplace by Esfandiar Aria. Despite the drawings, Aria thought he could still sell the sofa, originally listing it for $1,500 before eventually dropping it down to $615.

The father claimed that the sofa was only purchased a few months ago and that “there is nothing wrong with it except what you see.” The seller also admitted that his “little one drew all over it with black ink permanent marker.”

Many Facebook shoppers were left gasping for air at the hilarious listing. One person wrote: “This is art.”

Another shopper added: “Should take it to a modern art gallery and sell it for £5,000,000.”

For those interested, pickup for the artistic couch is in Luton, Bedfordshire, England.
