Mysterious Metal Ball Gives Japanese Police Bomb Scare

A giant metal ball on the beach is an uncommon find. When Japanese authorities stumbled upon an iron ball located on a Hamamatsu City beach, their alarm bells went off.

The officials were taking precautionary measures to rule out the possibility of a bomb or explosive. The orb was approximately five feet in diameter and as part of the safety protocols, police closed off the Enshu beach.

It was later revealed that there was no cause for concern since an X-ray of the ball confirmed it was completely hollow. Two raised handles attached to the ball led people to believe that it could be a mooring buoy that slipped off and floated away.

Japanese military and coast guard are analyzing the photos for possible identification of the item.

It’s okay to sit with uncertainty for the time being since we know that it’s not going to blow up in anyone’s face.
