Funeral homes can be seen as pretty spooky places. Because of this stereotype, a funeral home listed for sale in Massachusetts posted a sign outside the property stating that it is “probably haunted.”
The listing agent for the building, Ericka Kristal Eucker, thought it would be a good idea to add the sign outside the Turgeon Funeral Home in Millsbury, Massachusetts, which is currently listed for $769,000.
“It’s been standing for many years and certainly has some history to go with it,” Eucker said. “I’m not sure if it truly is haunted, but given its age, I suppose it’s a possibility.”
The house was first constructed as a single-family home in 1850 before being converted into a funeral home nearly a century later in 1948. The listing promotes the original use of the property, stating that it “could easily be converted back into a single-family home.”
The building features three bedrooms and five bathrooms and has been owned by the same family since the 1940s.
