Reported Human Remains Turn Out to Be Plastic Beer Bong

When human remains are reported, it’s no laughing matter. That is until they turn out to be something completely different.

Authorities in Washington investigated a report of human remains in a river cave and arrived only to find that the skull was actually a plastic beer bong.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Police wrote on Facebook that an officer responded to the call alongside a Pend Oreille County sheriff’s detective and a Border Patrol agent. A paddle boarder in the area had reported spotting human remains in a cave on the Pend Oreille River, located near the Canadian border.

The investigators utilized jet skis to get to the cave entrance before leaving the crafts behind to swim inside. In the cave, they spotted what appeared to be a skull underwater. Fortunately, the apparent skeletal remains were just a plastic beer bong shaped like a skull and spinal column.

“The remains ended up being a plastic skull beer bong someone apparently stuffed full of rocks and sunk to the bottom to prank people. Little did they know the trick worked, maybe too well,” the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Police wrote online.
