Car Gets Caught in High Tide Behind “No Parking” Sign

Irony can be rather funny sometimes. Police in a Massachusetts community got a kick out of a vehicle that was caught in high tide after parking behind a “no parking” sign.

The Duxbury Police Department shared a photo on Facebook of a partially submerged car that had gotten caught in high tide. In reality, this incident shouldn’t have happened as the vehicle was parked right behind a sign reading, “No parking beyond this sign.”

Police had to confirm they did know about the car after receiving multiple reports. “We are aware of the vehicle at the west end of the bridge, it will be removed when the tide goes out,” police wrote online.

Authorities were unclear why the driver had taken the vehicle out onto the sand in the first place. Regardless, once the tide receded the car was towed away from the scene. Lucikly, no one was injured as a result of the driver’s carelessness.
