Coors Light Introduces Color Changing Nail Polish

No one likes warm beer. Coors Light has come up with a way to ensure you’ll never have to drink a warm glass ever again.

With holiday parties ramping up into full gear, it’s imperative to have a tool for beer drinkers to ensure their beverage is at an optimal drinking temperature. That’s where Coors Light’s new nail polish comes into play.

Chill Polish can help solve the warm beer problem. Once applied, the silver-colored nail polish can turn blue if the beer is cold enough to chill the glass and then your hand. Plus, it works with any beer, not just Coors.

According to the company, this wasn’t just a pitch for women to get more involved with the brand. Coors Light is targeting “any beer drinkers” who prefer a cold glass to a warm brew.

The company co-developed the $7 nail polish with a San Francisco-based nail polish brand called Le Chat. It’s currently available on the brand’s website while supplies last.

“Coors Light should always be served as cold as the Rockies but sometimes it’s hard to know when you’re drinking from a pint glass,” Marcelo Pascoa, vice president of marketing for Coors Family of Brands, said. “We’ve brought our cold-activated technology to nail polish to ensure your pint of beer is just the right temp for drinking.”

If nail polish isn’t quite your thing, Coors Lights does still have its famous color-changing beer cans that switch from white to blue to signal when the beer reaches optimal drinking temperature.
