Man Arrested While Wearing “I Just Got Out of Prison” Shirt

When getting out of prison, trying to be on your best behavior is often the plan to avoid heading back into the slammer. A man wearing a shirt that read “I just got out of prison” was arrested after police responded to a call about him stealing a wallet from a parked car.

According to court records, Michael Gordon pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor obstruction charge and was sentenced to five days in custody and fined $500. He was charged after police officers responded to a 911 call about a male suspect who had entered a parked car and stolen a wallet.

This isn’t the 46-year-old’s first brush with the law either. He was convicted in July 2023 for trespassing after he unsuccessfully tried to enter a Dodge van parked in a St. Petersburg, Florida, lot. He was sentenced to 115 days in jail for the crime.

Deputies arrested Gordon for this most recent incident when he refused to identify himself while they were looking into the auto break-in. A portable fingerprint scanner was used to identify Gordon, who told cops to “Call my lawyer.” He was also wearing an “I just got out of prison” during the incident.
