Nail Salon Robbery Backfires With a Tough Crowd of Customers

During moments of crisis, maintaining a calm demeanour isn’t a simple task. A man was trying to rob an Atlanta nail salon but he didn’t do a very good job of intimidating the ladies at the place. They ignored him rather than showing any fear.

The suspect barged into the Nail First salon demanding money and he had a bag on him which could’ve been a weapon. The surveillance cameras captured him shouting, “Everybody get down! Give me all your money!” The customers and employees remained unfazed by his arrival and his loud commands fell on deaf ears.

The salon owner carried on with a phone conversation during the attempted robbery. Meanwhile, a customer casually got up to leave the salon but the suspect grabbed her phone as she walked outside.

The ladies were more concerned about their nails than the intruder.

After some time, the suspect got fed up with the lack of response and drove away in a silver-colored sedan. Lesa Barrow, a regular customer who was present at the salon during the attempted robbery, said the owner was frightened by the suspect’s arrival but she didn’t want to alarm the customers.

“They come first, so that was his reaction, to calm everybody down, keep everybody relaxed,” Barrow said.

The quick thinking by the owner resulted in the suspect leaving empty-handed and the ladies were able to make it back home safely with a fresh manicure.
