PETA: No Sex With Male Meat Eaters

Ladies, if your man eats meat, please refrain from engaging with his meat.

Your sexual frustrations are a minor sacrifice to improve the state of the world. The German branch of animal rights group PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) says women should “go on a sex strike to save the world” and stop having sexual intercourse with men who eat meat.

German PETA says men contribute a lot more to the climate crisis than women, especially through eating meat. PETA cited research from last year which said that men emit 41 percent more greenhouse gases than females through their eating habits.

“Who doesn’t know them, the suburban fathers handling beer bottles and barbecue tongs, who sizzle 70-cent sausages on their €700 grill,” said Daniel Cox, campaigns team leader for PETA Germany.

“The fact that Germany’s ‘grill masters’ believe they have to prove their masculinity to themselves and their peers by consuming meat is not only to the detriment of the animals. Now there’s scientific evidence that toxic masculinity also harms the climate,” Cox said.

Forget carrying on the family lineage as the planet can’t sustain the extra kids. “After all, every child not born saves 58.6 tons of CO2-equivalent per year,” Cox said.

“For all fathers who still grill meat and still want children with a future worth living on a livable planet, we recommend changing their lifestyle.”

This advice did not go down well, as people started flooding in with harsh criticism. For starters, it can be perceived as sexist. Conservative MP Alicia Kearns in the UK said: “It just feeds in to all the worst narratives of the ’90s that women use sex, it’s not something they enjoy, that they should use it as a tool against men.”

“It’s also incredibly focused on straight relationships,” she added.

Alois Rainer, an MP from Germany’s Christian Social Union party, who is a master butcher, said the idea was “total nonsense.”

However, Dr. Carys Bennett, corporate projects manager at Peta UK, defended the message: “It’s a bit of hyperbole… it’s designed to get men to sit up and take note.”

This ultimatum may not go down well with couples. The men might redirect their energy towards women who can please them sexually and satisfy their meat cravings in the kitchen.
