Rodeo Serves More Than 17,000 Pancakes to Break World Record

Every country fan loves the Calgary Stampede. Organizers of the annual rodeo in Alberta, Canada, announced that they broke a Guinness World Record when they served more than 17,000 pancakes in eight hours.

The Calgary Stampede, an annual exhibition, rodeo and festival in Calgary, Alberta, started serving pancakes to volunteers at the GMC Stadium Courtyard at 6:30 a.m. on July 9, 2023. After that, they started being served to the public when the doors opened to the grounds at 8 a.m.

Announcing on Twitter, the Calgary Stampede posted that a total 17,182 pancakes were served by the end of the eight-hour period. That’s a lot of happy mouths that were treated to delicious pancakes.

A Guinness World Records adjudicator named Brittany DunnĀ was on hand to observeĀ the record-breaking attempt. Only 15 of the pancakes ended up being disqualified for various reasons but they still had way more than enough to breakĀ the previous record ofĀ 14,208.
