A seductive Star Wars-themed show is ready to entertain guests for a memorable experience.
“The Empire Strips Back: A Burlesque Parody” has opened on May 10, 2023, at the Orpheum Theater in the East Village of New York City. The show features characters out of the space opera franchise such as “Sultry Stormtroopers, a dangerously enticing Boba Fett, and a lady-like Skywalker.”
“We have scantily clad droids. We have a female feminine Darth Vader,” publicist Victoria Westbrook said.
Calling all nerds for an unforgettable night where like-minded people can mingle and bond over their shared passion. “It’s a night of pure fun… This is a show that’s really for all ‘Star Wars’ lovers. We call it the gathering of the clan, a place for nerds to come and have the best night ever.”
“The costumes… the set pieces are super detailed. So for the most nerdy ‘Star Wars’ nerd there is a clear reference for the work we are parodying,” said producer David Foster.
Whether it’s a hit or miss depends on the fans’ verdict. “It’s up to the fans to decide how long it runs,” said Foster. “We will start with three months and see where it goes.”
