Woman Stabs Brother After He Wouldn’t Let Her Have Lasagna

While lasagna is delicious, it’s not something to go to jail over. A Georgia woman allegedly stabbed her brother after he refused to let her have any lasagna.

Columbia County deputies received a call about a domestic situation that was occurring at the 400 block of Millwater Court. The victim, Earnest Hardwick, had called police dispatch to report that his sister, Brilena Hardwick, had stabbed him.

Earnest also told deputies that he had locked himself in the laundry room while calling 911.

According to the police report, Earnest and Brilena began arguing over dinner. After several minutes, Brilena allegedly started yelling at Earnest, and told him, “just hit me in the head with the stove door.”

When asked about why they were arguing, Brilena admitted that her brother wouldn’t allow her to get the lasagna out of the refrigerator. She also told authorities she allegedly blacked out for several minutes after arguing with her brother, coming to only to see a knife in her hand and her brother running to the laundry room with a wound in his back.

A witness reported that she had seen Brilena take a knife and stab her brother in his back at least once. Earnest was taken to a local hospital to get his wounds treated.

Brilena was arrested and taken to the Columbia County Detention Center. She has been charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime.
